For me there are several good reasons to choose Tri Ambition Coaching –
1. Liz is a great coach!
a. She talks to you about your aspirations
b. She takes into account your lifestyle
c. As a doctor she is also very much on your side when you get ill or injured.
2. The sessions are varied and targeted for you and you goals
a. Liz will vary sessions around your commitments
b. They always have a purpose specific to your needs.
3. She coached me to earn a place in the 2020 Team GB squad at Middle Distance Triathlon, a feat I don’t think I would have achieved without a coach. My fitness was on the up and I had hoped that I would have been more secure but injured my knee during the race that I qualified for team GB and couldn’t improve this at a later race.
a. Rehab, time off, having fluid removed and a steroid injection have (I hope) fixed the knee, Liz has been there for me whenever I needed it with encouragement and practical advice on how to get the knee back to normal (as well as other medical practitioners). Since the injection, Liz’s program of sessions has pushed me that bit harder each week and I hope that I will be running again soon.
The picture is me approaching the finish of Grafman 2019, a middle distance triathlon. The day started very foggy and it wasn’t safe for us to swim, but I posted my best ever half marathon time after a 90km bike ride. All thanks to Liz’s wonderful coaching.
Having done the running thing, picked up cycling and started to bring them together, Liz has able to help me reach my goals whilst enjoying the journey. Her ability to speak from experience provides the trust in the training process. She is adaptable and responsive to help you take advantage of the highs and get through the lows.
I have been luckily enough to combine some training sessions with Liz where I have been able to lean on her experience giving me more confidence in my ability and capability when I needed it.
Liz provides a healthy mix of competition, power, enjoyment and recovery, so you know there is quality in the sessions she puts you through. I have enjoyed this mix and although there is a great pleasure in turning Training Peaks green, I don't fear if it needs to be red for a few days.
Liz is a great athlete and coach, with so much to offer, and can get you to your goals and make some new ones.
I am a member of a local Triathlon Club. I have completed sprint, Olympic and a couple of half distance triathlons. This year my goal was to have a go at a full distance event, however I needed the help and guidance of how to get there.
Liz has formalised a plan specific to my needs with training that is enjoyable, manageable, building step by step and yet flexible around our busy life styles.
After working with Tri Ambition Coaching for just a couple of months, I am already seeing increasing improvements in my fitness, particularly endurance.
